It is with great sadness that we must announce the end of our beloved Wednesday Car Boot Sale at Blaydon Rugby Club. This decision has not been made lightly, and we know how much this event has meant to so many in our community.

Unfortunately, due to Newcastle City Council now charging us for operating the boot sale, we can no longer sustain it as a viable event. As a community-focused club, we have always strived to keep costs low for both sellers and buyers, ensuring this was a welcoming space for everyone. However, these additional charges mean we can no longer continue without it becoming a financial strain on the club.

We want to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported the Wednesday Car Boot Sale over the years—our loyal sellers, bargain hunters, and volunteers who have made it such a special part of our club’s weekly life. Your support has been incredible, and we are truly sorry to have to bring it to an end.‎

Whilst this is the end of our Wednesday sales, we hope to see you at our Sunday Car Boot Sale, which will continue as usual. Please spread the word, and let’s keep the Sunday tradition alive!
