The attached letter; Match Official Abuse from the DCRFU Referees Society highlights a very serious trend in our game which undermines the core values of Rugby Union, this matter must be addressed.

As yet the DCRFU Referees Society have not discussed sanctions but in all likelihood abuse of match officials could lead to the deduction of league points.

I urge everyone to take this matter seriously and act in supportive manner towards all referees, without whom we wouldn't have a game !
